Segen is working closely with Wincanton to secure job opportunities for as many of you as possible – either elsewhere within Segen, within the new business operation in Kent, or at one of Wincanton’s many other sites.

REPRESENT
Become part of the process and nominate yourself as an Employee Representative. By taking an active part in the process you’ll receive and convey information to colleagues, represent their views, and report back.

SUPPORT
Training on duties and responsibilities will be provided to Employee Representatives (four are needed). They will be allowed a reasonable amount of paid time off for training and carrying out of duties.

How to become an Employee Representative

Complete the self-nomination form and post it in the on-site mailbox* before 5pm Wednesday 9th August.

Nominations completed incorrectly or received after the deadline cannot be accepted.

*The mailbox can be found near the sign-in desk.

A Few Rules

  1. You must not be working out your notice period.
  2. You will be available on the following dates: 16th August all-day, 23rd August PM, 30th August PM.
What does an Employee Representative do?

The primary role of an employee representative is to take an active part in the process by:

    • Receiving specified information regarding the proposed TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment Regulation 2006) transfer, including any measures that either party to the transfer envisages taking in connection with it;
    • Conveying this information to the colleagues they represent;
    • Representing the views and opinions of the colleagues they represent in any consultation process;
    • Taking reasonable steps to ensure that the views of the affected colleagues are taken into account by Segen Limited and Wincanton PLC as part of any consultation process; and
    • Reporting back to colleagues on the outcome of any meetings with Segen.
