Course information
This course is only available to existing Segen customers
To be registered for the Solar PV course, the candidate must provide the following no less than 7 working days before the course start date:
- Photo proof of ID (Driver’s Licence or Passport)
- Photo proof of qualifications (NVQ L3 + AM2 + Wiring Regs 18th Edition BS7671)
- Completed LCL Application & Registration Form
Candidates must bring the following with them from Day 1 of the course:
- Basic stationery (pen, notepaper)
- Calculator
- Safety Boots
- Photo ID

Learner will:
- Know the key requirements for electric vehicle charging equipment (EVCE) installations.
- Know and identify equipment of, and differences between, the four modes of charging, and Wireless Power Transfer types (WPT).
- Understand the preparation for design and installation of EVCE.
- Be able to prepare to design and install EVCE.
- Be able to install EVCE in Dwellings, Commercial and Industrial Locations.
- Understand requirements for initial verification and handover of an EVCE installation.
- Be able to conduct inspection and testing and complete handover to client.
This course is aimed at experienced and practising electrical operatives (who are existing Segen customers). In order to register candidates for the qualification, the Training Academy is required to hold copies of their existing certificates.
Please note, only Candidates holding the following will be able to enrol on the qualification:
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Vocational Qualification (including Initial Verification of electrical installations (i.e. NVQ L3 + AM2 or equivalent), and
- BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations 18th Edition qualification.

On completion of your Segen EV installation course, you will need to place an order with a minimum value of £2000 + vat to qualify.
Upon shipment of your order, a credit will be applied to your account to the value of 20% of the value of the course completed. This credit can be redeemed against your next Segen order.
This mechanism will continue until 100% of the course value has been redeemed against Segen orders.
The rebate will expire 6 months after the date on which the course was completed.
