Customers can expand their existing Powerwall 3 systems with the Powerwall 3 Expansion pack. The newest addition to Tesla’s home energy storage solutions amplifies the Powerwall 3 system’s capabilities in a simple cost-effective way.
Like Powerwall 3, each unit is 13.5 kW and the same width but with a slightly thinner footprint. They can be stacked in groups of four (PW3 at the front) or mounted adjacent to each other on the wall each using relevant mounting kits.

☆ Up to three DC Expansion units can be connected to a single Powerwall 3. This offers a total of 54kWh of storage capacity with a single full Powerwall 3 system. This setup allows for ground or wall mounting, providing flexibility in end users’ home energy setup.
☆ Mounting: Expansion units can be mounted individually, or ground-mounted in a stacked configuration behind a Powerwall 3
☆ Expansion Connection: Expansion units must connect to Powerwall 3 or other Expansion units via the Expansion Harness. Each unit has two Expansion ports, one on each side of the enclosure.
