2021 Round-Up

Where did the year go?

It’s been another tough year for Segen and our customers with shortages of materials putting stress on the supply chain, HGV driver and petrol shortages and the dreaded C-word…yet despite all this we can look back on 2021 positively.

Next year is nearly upon us (even though some of us are still processing 2020!) and we’re looking forward to it. If we have anything like the milestones, achievements, and support from our customers like this year (below), then it will be a success. We cannot wait!

12. Happy customers – 97.8% delivery date accuracy and 99.7% picking accuracy
11. Happy staff – 75% employee engagement (5% over the UK benchmark)
10. 35% growth in regular buying customers
9.   100% increase in stock from end Nov 2020 to end Nov 2021
8.   Opened a new warehouse in Swindon
7.   Joined the Labora Group
6.   Processed over 900 new account forms
5.   Recognised in the prestigious Sunday Times International Track 200
4.   Almost doubled our headcount with fifty new recruits – including those brought on by our new Kickstart, Graduate and Apprenticeship schemes
3.   Navigated Brexit, Covid, Suez Canal Blockage, HGV driver shortage, shipping and container shortages and labour welfare concerns
2.   Onboarded five new manufacturers (REC, EO, Easee, RedTip and Esdec)
1.   All whilst maintaining industry leading customer service with a whopping NPS score of 60
