Listed below are some common questions that we get asked about the CHP systems.
Can it work off-grid?
No. The EC Power system can only function when connected to a three phase (400V) electrical supply. It needs a significant current to start the generator and can only produce power when synchronised to a three phase grid connection.
Will it produce electricity when there is no need for hot water?
No. The system will only operate when there is a requirement to heat water and the electricity generated will then be used within the property, or exported to the grid if not not needed.
